Warning: When installing packages in Arch, avoid refreshing the package list without upgrading the system (for example, when a package is no longer found in the official repositories). In practice, do not run pacman -Sy package_name instead of pacman -Syu package_name, as this could lead to dependency issues. See System maintenance#Partial upgrades are unsupported and BBS#89328.

Hi Mark!
This patch breaks the installer launch. See the screenshot https://i.imgur.com/rRNX0Pw.png.
This patch is already used to build the package (gitlab.manjaro.org/packages/extra/manjaro-architect/-@1a46b46466 (9b9baac1eb9b72790eef5540a1685306fc43fd6c_21_20)) and it breaks the script. If we change the concept, it should not break the script.

My understanding is that we should use pacman -Syu instead of pacman -Sy or pacman -S.

Yes, we need to drop the patch on the PKGBUILD if this PR gets merged, so this happend because you try to apply the Patch twice.

As described in the Arch Linux wiki we should use pacman -S. - Will be merged / Included in 0.9.37.

@yochananmarqos1 @pheiduck I changed to pacman -Syu(gitlab.manjaro.org/applications/manjaro-architect/-@50fc091585) and recreated the tag 0.9.37.
Changes should not break the script. If you don't agree with my commit, then let's have a discussion about it.

@beliys Turns out I was wrong to do this to begin with, sorry about the trouble. I'll rebuild and push 0.9.37-2.

The archinstall script also uses -Sy on the live ISO.

Unfortunately, we also get errors from pacman -Syu, and if it turned out not to be critical, then I returned pacman -Sy, which had no errors.

@yochananmarqos1, сan you build a package with the tag 0.9.38?
